Short scenic walk from parking
This cache is located in an old wayside rest stop on the Suwannee River. Drivers could stop here at this scenic location and look upon the beautiful Suwannee or families could stop by here and bring their lunch to eat at one of the picnic tables. For one reason or another this little wayside has been closed but under all the pine needles and leaves you can still see the pavement and where the picnic tables once sat. Make sure to take a look at the river and you can see where people still come to fish. There is parking by the "welcome to Dixie" sign or there is a break in the guard rails that leads to a small parking area but be sure to stay out of the drive way of the home located down there as well! You are looking for an ammo box with lots of room for goodies and trading TB's. There is a little bit of a walk but it should be pretty easy. Please make sure to camo the cache back well so fishing muggles do not stumble upon it! We received an SUA permit from the SWRMD # 1641.
