Geocache Description:

In 1912 Cedar Springs was a settlement of approximately 100 families living in what is now known as Lake Silverwood. They were productive and best known for their strawberries. Soon developers filled in this charming community with what is now spreading out before you as the steely-blue depths of water. Among other signs of life, Cedar Springs boasted its very own schoolhouse.
This cache is located off a dirt road with wide access; you will enjoy the short, easy hike and the views of the lake. There is ample parking.
Watch for snakes, enjoy the wide open scenic view of Summit Valley and the encircling ravens.
SOUTHERN PACIFIC RATTLERS have been reported in the Lake Silverwood area--never poke your hand under a bush or rock without using a hiking stick, of course.
