This cache is named after the first line of the Girl Scout law in which girls promise to "do their best" to be Honest and Fair. It was placed by the fourth-grade girls of Girl Scout Troop 30101 of Palm City, FL as part of earning our Geocaching badge. It is a regular ammo container and is located along a very nice, paved walking trail, Blasko Lane.
Girl Scouts of the USA was founded in 1912 by Juliette Gordon Low. It is a nonprofit organization chartered by the US Congress. Based on sound ethical values, Girl Scouting is a movement that provides opportunities for girls to learn and work in partnership with adult volunteers.
The Girl Scout Law expresses the guiding principles upon which Girl Scouting is founded. It states:
I WILL DO MY BEST TO BE
Honest and fair,
Friendly and helpful,
Considerate and caring,
Courageous and strong, and
Responsible for what I say and do,
And to
Respect myself and others,
Respect authority,
Use resources wisely,
Make the world a better place, and
Be a sister to every Girl Scout.
We are initially stocking this cache full of items including unique crafts made by the girls from empty Altoid tins. Who knew there were so many cute, creative things that could be made from Altoid tins?? We are also including a travel bug that we grabbed, so please help it on its way if you can.
