Geocache Description:

Small white plastic container

This cache has been place on a newer section of the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail at the Aqueduct Towpath Trail Bridge west of Bolivar.  The three-span bridge weighs 96 tons, is 213 feet long, and measures 14 feet wide.  It sits north of state Route 212 and south of a Wheeling & Lake Erie Railroad trestle on the county line.  The structure was built on the site of the now-gone wooden aqueduct which allowed canal boats to cross over the Tuscarawas River back in the 1800s.  You'll even see some old remnants of aqueduct - two stone abutments still in the river.

You're looking for a small while plastic container that blends in well with the hiding spot.  There is no need to leave the trail or bridge entrance decking to grab this cache.  Use stealth while searching as this area may be busy with other trail users.  Hope you enjoy the trail, bridge, and cache.

The container is small with room for small trade items only.

Please bring your own pen / pencil to sign the log.

This geocache was placed with permission from the Stark County Park District.

Congratulations to PWNC and HWNC on being the first to find.
