1905, Mitsuzawa Shell Midden was excavated by Neil Gordon Munro who doctor, archaeologist, anthropologist of the United Kingdom.
1905, he was naturalized in Japan.
It is a village with a midden of late Jomon Period.
Size of midden about 200m east to west, 100m north to south. And one of the best shell midden in Yokohama.
