There is a monument of ruins of trial A-bomb dropping here.
This is because it needed the evacuation training of the bomber which dropped bombs before using the world's first nuclear weapon in the actual fighting.
Really just after throwing down, the bomber turned like a fighter of 155 degrees steeply, and evacuated. Fat TNT bombs(4.8t) were dropped for practice 49 times in Japan. One of those was dropped down on this place.
Its damages were 7 lives, serious or slight injury 73, house 485 which fell down, 1,645 victims...here.
It was about 1991 that this matter became clear.

ここに模擬原子爆弾投下跡の碑があります。
実戦で世界初の原子爆弾を使う前に投下した爆撃機自身の退避訓練の必要があったからです。
実際に投下直後爆撃機は戦闘機並みに155度の急旋回をして退避しました。
ずんぐりとした4.8tのTNT爆弾が49発も日本国内に練習のために投下されました。
そのうちの1発がここに落とされました。ここだけで死者７人、重軽傷者73人、倒れた家485戸、被災者1645人の被害が出ました。
このことがわかったのは1991年のことでした。
戦争はもう懲り懲り。
