There's a rumor amongst the geocaching lore that tells of a cruel experiment conducted very near here. Some crazy chicken tried to see how much weight a frozen pond would hold and sacrificed it's poor dog. The result was a near trajedy. You can read the written account in this log.

Instead of an historical plaque, Heath and Mandy decided to hide a new cache to commemorate the event. Rumors also have it that the dog, deciding that she was no duck, has retired to a life of leisure on a couch with many blankets as friends. The cache container seemed appropriate for the locale.
