Geocache Description:

***The Posted Coordinates are False! There is NO reason to go there!!!***

Once a subject of Temporal manipulation is brought up, people immediately conjure images of Dr.Who, H.G. Wells or a Flux Capacitor.
Fun, but fantasy- or is it? A little known fact is that real time machines have been tested by individual scientists for years. An investigative team has been collecting facts on these men.
The main problem has always been choosing a time, and correlating it with rotation of the earth, time of year and, of course, sun spots. Basically, to put it as simply as possible, you will end up in time you want, but will have NO idea where in the world you will be.  The starting point and ending point are still the puzzle.
The first instance was in the late 1800’s a scientist named Bilal Rajput started testing his machine in his home town of Turbat, Pakistan- however due to lower resources in that area, he moved his operation to Bucharest, Romania. From this lab, his first jump into the unknown record books took him to the year he targeted- 1910, but to his surprise he landed in Pueblo, Colorado in the US. From here he was institutionalized because even after they acquired a translator, he was deemed insane and spent the rest of his years locked up.
The next indexed account for time travel was in 1925 in Apia, Samoa. Visionary Lsaako Simi targeted his device for the year 1945, a goal he reached, but he had the unfortunate luck of landing in White Horse, in the Yukon Territory in Canada. He quickly froze to death, due to lack of sufficient clothing.
Once word of the strange machine had gotten out, it sparked the interest of other great minds in the northern area. It seemed the perfect area for long, thoughtful analysis. In 1950 an American scientist Walter DuPont took his shot at this fabulous device and attempted to launch his machine in Eagle, Alaska to the time 1975. His luck improved over his predecessor, when he landed  two years away from his scheduled time, but he landed in Hilo, Hawaii. Quite frankly, once he landed in Hawaii, he was so content with his new surroundings, he never gave the time machine a second thought.
The most recent account for time travel was in 1998, when American  explorer Steve Wilborne made the final settings on his machine in his hometown of Portland Oregon.  His target was 2012. His body has never been found, but his machine was recovered from the ocean, just outside of Dunedin, New Zealand, where it  is believed he eaten by great white sharks.
