The map shows one possible route for an enjoyable short circuit: standard dog walk length! Just a mere sniff for the likes of Tasha of course!
Other caches can be found along Cunswick Scar and Scout Scar. The scars give great views over to the hills of the Lakes, and all around the area. The limestone provides good walking even in wet conditions.
In many areas ash trees are the main 'colonisers' but along here there are also several yews of reasonable age. The sheep and occasional cows keep the grass well mown.
