This green ammo/field box was established by Boy Scouts of Troop 221 and originally included several toys, scout patches, and a GeoCoin. The cache is located along the trail in a section after the map kiosk and steps, but before the low tree and outdoor classroom. The cache is on the uphill side of the trail. It is at ground level once you've climbed uphill a bit. It is not visible from the trail, but quite obvious once you're standing over it. This and several other caches were established by the Boy Scouts at the request of the Lion's Club, in hopes that it would raise public awareness of this relatively unknown and seldom used park area. The Lion's Trail has been the beneficiary of decades of Eagle Scout projects and offers a map kiosk, steps, bridges, outdoor classroom, tree identification markers, birdhouses, and now...geocaches.
