Some time ago, I was driving out this way (maybe they shouldn't let me out like that, huh?) and noticed these structures. Knowing the property owner, I thought, "what the heck is he up to now?"
I used to participate in a local gardening club with the property owner and saw him at a show and sale last year and mentioned geocaching. And that I'd been out to his place and noticed his "yard art". When asked, "if I put a geocache out there...you won't take a shotgun and run 'em off, or anything, right?" He grinned and chuckled. I take that to mean he's okay with it. Or..."placed with owner's permission". Really, if you happen to encounter him, just 'fess up and explain the geocaching "thing". If he's got time (he's usually really busy with somethingerother), he'll probably give you a tour of his garden just down the road. It is among the finest private gardens of its type in the Central Valley.
