*** The Secret of Monkey Island ***
Nuori mies nimeltään Guybrush Threepwood seikkailee Monkey Island -nimisessä pelisarjassa, jonka ensimmäinen osa The Secret of Monkey Island ilmestyi jo v.1990. Siinä Guybrush haluaa tulla merirosvoksi ja hänen täytyy suorittaa kolme haastetta, jotka ovat aarteenetsintä, varastaminen sekä miekkailu. Nimen Guybrush alkuperä juontaa tiedostonimestä "guybrush.bbm", jolla taiteilija Steve Purcell työsti vielä nimetöntä hahmoa. Threepwood taas tulee kirjailija P.G.Wodehousen hahmoista, jotka jakavat saman sukunimen mm. Galahad Threepwood ja Freddie Threepwood.
