This is a new light pole along a new trail in the Del Castle woods area. It is also my very first light pole hide. Unlike other light pole hides, you will not be able to drive up to this one. You will have to walk. This beautiful trail is fully paved and finished just last summer. It runs through some very old growth forest so should be spectacular in the spring. There will be no reason to bushwack since, like most light poles, it is along side the trail. This is a New Castle County park so caching is only dawn to dusk. I encourage you to bring your children and dogs along for this walk.
I have included three parking locations. The walk is probably the shortest from location 1 however, if you choose location 3, ( a 1 and 1/2 mile round trip) the path is fully plowed with no ice or snow to deal with. The other locations have some icy, slippery slopes you will have to negotiate until you reach the plowed part of the trail.
As with all light pole caches, please replace carefully so that it does not "roll out" of its' hiding place.
