Tree Trekker's Texas Music Collection - Volume Five:
My Grammy's From Texas!

The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences has, to date, presented Grammy awards to at least 160 Texas artists, recognizing their outstanding achievements in many musical categories. This cache highlights some well-known Texas Grammy winners, plus a few who are not so famous, representing several musical styles.

To begin, click below to watch a video featuring ten Texas Grammy winners in clips labeled A through J:

Watch Texas Grammy Winners Video

Now, use the following numbered lists to determine the values of A through J by adding each clip's artist number and song number, then subtracting the award number.
[That is: Letter = Artist + Song - Award]

ARTISTS:
1. Gary Clark, Jr
2. Guy Clark
3. Snarky Puppy
4. Rodney Crowell
5. Michael Nesmith
6. Grupo Fantasma
7. Mars Volta
8. Stevie Ray Vaughan
9. Lyle Lovett
10. Edie Brickell & Steve Martin

SONGS:
1. Love Has Come For You
2. Please Come Home
3. Funny How Time Slips Away
4. Little Wing
5. My Favorite Picture Of You
6. Chase the Feeling
7. Wax Simulacra
8. Calor
9. Cruisin'
10. Something

AWARDS (for the featured song or its album/compilation):
1. Video Of The Year
2. Best Traditional R&B Performance
3. Best American Roots Song
4. Best Pop Vocal Collaboration
5. Best Rock Instrumental Performance
6. Best Folk Album
7. Best Americana Album
8. Best Latin Rock, Alternative or Urban Album
9. Best Hard Rock Performance
10. Best R&B Performance

You now have numerical values for A through J; however, there's a problem with the number associated with the artist who used to be a Monkey. Subtract 8 from the former Monkey's letter to get the correct final value for his clip's letter.

The cache is located at:

N 32° AB.CDE
W 97° FG.HIJ

You can park at the posted coordinates and make a short hike to the cache. It could be a bit harder after heavy rains.

Please take a Texas music compilation CD from the cache, and let me know if they need to be re-stocked.

Congratulations to TXvR for First-to-Find!
