Evergreen Colorado made the big time with the CNN Travel website’s list of the world’s ten most beautiful ice skating rinks in late 2013 (see related website link at the top of this page). Finally, Evergreen takes its rightful place among the world’s greatest cities: London, Paris, Moscow, Beijing, Vienna, Sydney, Ottawa and New York (also Banff, Alberta). Pretty heady stuff, but the Evergreen Parks and Rec District (EPRD) has been improving the winter experience at the lake every year. Skating, hockey, ice fishing, ice golfing, ice bike racing, and the Polar Plunge - If it can be done on ice, EPRD is trying to find a way to do it!
