Daelyn was named by Dave and Lynn Sutton who ran a berry farm in the surrounding area, for years. Boysenberries were a specialty, together with raspberries, strawberries and a large area of sweet corn. The berry farm finally closed at the end of the 2013 season as the houses continued their takeover. This is called progress.
However, two illustrious COs now live in this area!!
Late 2013 Dave and Lynn sold the remaining part of the farm to NCC (the part to the west of Garin College) this will become part of Saxton Field and in due course will have a velodrome.
