Geocache Description:

In Japanese, "Jizo" is called for child's guardian deity's thing.
This hexagonal Jizo stone pillar is located in Nishitokyo City.
This is a designated cultural property No. 22 of Nishi-Tokyo City.


It is a stone pillar of almost regular hexagon.
Jizo Bodhisattva of six bodies are carved on the top of each side, the inscription is written down to the bottom.

It was built in seven years Kansei (1795) to mourn for the bodhi of a women "Tsuya" and "Mitsuyama Doji".
Akiyama Juuemon and Noguchi Sukeemon  ordered production to Tsunodaya factory .
This factory was in Ichigayatamachi.

Where there is a Jizo stone pillar is where the Jindaiji road and Fuji street intersect.
This stone pillar serves as the role of the guidepost.

六角地蔵石幢は西東京市にあり、市の指定文化財22号です。
ほぼ正六角形の石柱で、各面の上部に6体の地蔵菩薩を浮彫りにし、その下に銘文を施しています。
「つや」という女性と「光山童子」の菩提を弔うために、野口助右衛門と秋山十右衛門が江戸市ヶ谷田町の石工角田屋注文して、寛政7年(1795年)に建立されました。
富士街道と深大寺道とが交差する所に建ち、道標を兼ねています。

この石柱の近くにキャッシュを設置しました。
