This is a short multi-cache in Wainuiomata.
Wainuiomata is a small community of about 16,000 residents. It is located in a secluded valley just 10 minutes drive from central Lower Hutt and 25 minutes drive from the Wellington Ferry Terminal.
In 1913, the population of Wainuiomata was barely in the hundreds. Despite this, community spirit was strong, and sufficient funds were raised entirely by the Valley residents to see the building of a local hall. Community spirit also saw the dedication of a War Memorial to those residents who did not return from the Great War. The original hall has been replaced with a large community building in the centre of Wainuiomata, but the War Memorial still remains. On Anzac Day each year, there is a dawn ceremony held at the Wainuiomata War Memorial.
The coordinates provided will take you to the memorial outside the Wainuiomata Memorial Hall.
Use the information on the sides of the memorial to work out the final location of the cache.
