If you're looking for a nice walk or a short bike ride with quite a few geocaches, the Tecumseh Trail through New Carlisle is a good place to spend some time. There are several (16 at the time of this publication) creative traditional caches fairly closely spaced along this now expanded ~2.5 mile trail with various terrains, none very difficult, and in the summertime there's the drive-in establishment whose name I can't seem to remember but it is just off the trail (right next to the Wot-A-Cache), where you can get a hot dog, ice cream, rootbeer, etc.
Two years ago almost to the day, I found and logged my very first cache Tecumseh Trail #D6 (Kids Must Play) just to the south of this location, and I've been hooked ever since, so placing one here is appropriately nostalgic. I also liked this particular location because it has many hide challenges right at GZ -- rock-pile, shelter, trees, steep hill, and often muggles that can appear suddenly around the bend. Where would an evil-minded CO owner hide a micro given all these possibilities?
Accessible year-round. Good luck!!
Congratulations to gallaghd for FTF !
