Geocache Description:

If only that were true - This area is such a beautiful place sadly it isn’t just footprints that get left behind when people visit our coast line. This is to coincide with the annual geocaching CITO weekend

The 12th Annual Cache In Trash Out Weekend is scheduled for April 26 and 27, 2014

.

The aim of this event is to collect as much rubbish as we can that has been dropped or washed ashore along the cost from the meeting point below Pontins to Kessingland beach.

Sunday 27th April 2014 10am till 1pm

Meeting on the beach below Pontins, parking available.

Access Pontins via their main entrance off the A12 just South of Pakefield. Past security (on left) past reception (on right) till you reach the entertainment building. Turn right past chalets till you reach the southern car park. Go to the far right corner near the rubbish skip. Access to the beach is via a small road then an overgrown path. We will be on the beach.

Pontins are aware of the Beach cleaning event and have given consent for us to enter the park to gain access to the beach.

As the beach is hard going for pushchairs and wheel chairs this might not be accessible to all, however extra hands are always welcome at the meeting point to hand out bags, and litter pickers.

We will bring lots of black bags with us and have disposable gloves but it might be worth you bring your own stronger gloves to protect your hands if you have them; we also have a limited amount of litter pickers that can be signed out to groups.

Dogs are welcome but we ask that they be kept under close control, however they are not allowed to be off lead on the holiday camp.

We also ask that no one climbs the cliffs for any reason as they are not safe and are crumbling

We will have a large bucket for trackables to be traded and a log book for all to sign
