Where Two Become One Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Birdman320: I appologize to the last person who tried to find this. We moved out of here in February. Took the cache with us and thought I had archived it. Kind of a crappy cache owner thing to do (not archive it) Anyways hope to have one up and running soon around our new place. I hope this doesnt discourage anyone from checking out some of my other caches.

How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

First off let us start off by saying THIS GEOCACHE IS IN OUR FRONT YARD. We live at 653 W. 7th Street. Hopefully this makes it a little less awkward for those of you who get sketched out by doing these types of geocaches.

We chose our house because of the history of how we met. On July 3rd, 2013 M.K.Davis and Birdman320 met at the Tim Hortons meet and greet event. This just so happened to be the same night that Birdman’s geocache, Opposing “M” Charge (http://coord.info/GC4F3ZE), got published. As the night dwindled down and people were leaving, we checked online and still no one logged the coveted FTF. Within an hour (9:40 at night according to the log) M.K.Davis had the blank logbook in hand with Birdman320 accompanying. The next day Maria was out looking for another new cache just published by Mikeb226, Arrrrrrgghhh (http://coord.info/GC4FDZW). After searching for quite some time without luck, she made a S.O.S post on the cache page leaving her cell phone number. Dan just happened to be looking for new caches and read the call for help and decided to text Maria. Within 15 minutes he arrived at GZ to join the hunt. The search still took another hour at least with further assistance from the CO. Later that day, Dan text Maria again wanting to risk high waters for a second FTF at Down by the Creek – Another Visit to Walnut Creek (http://coord.info/GC4FGKY). 2 FTF's in one day and a new friendship blossomed! Who would have thought that this was the start to an amazing friendship that would eventually lead to a wonderful relationship. Since then M.K.Davis and Birdman320 have made many geocaching memories together. Some of our favorites happen to be The Izit Series (http://coord.info/GC497A7), Knock on Wood (http://coord.info/GC3FJYK), Lumbejacks Only (http://coord.info/GCZB9B), and The Ice Cave (http://coord.info/GC4CF8F) just to name a few. Maria (M.K.Davis) has also been there every time Dan (Birdman320) has hidden a geocache of his own since they met. These memories along with all the other terrific memories we have and will continue to make is what makes our relationship great! By having a geocache in our front yard we are encouraging you to join in on those memories. Please don’t be shy. Knock on our door and say hi if you found it…or need a hint. In the warmer months you may find us sitting out on our balcony just enjoying the scenery. We enjoy meeting new geocachers and talking to the ones we already know. We are always more than happy to lend a hand and help a neighbor out in need as well. This cache itself is a NANO. With that being said please BYOP. It is not meant to be any more difficult than finding any other nano sized geocache. This cache IS WINTER FRIENDLY and it’s available at all times of the day/ night (24/7). Please respect the neighbors though as we do live in the upstairs apartment. The downstairs neighbor does know about it but is not a geocacher….yet. There is no need to tear apart anything and if you move something please put it back where you found it. Parking may be difficult depending on the time of day, season, etc. You may have to park around the corner. Please respect all parking signs and do not stop in the middle of the street. West 7th Street is a one way street heading west. We are in between Cherry Street on the east and Poplar Street on the west. Hopefully that helps you out a bit. Please log all of your DNF’s and if you are having trouble with it we will be more than happy to give you more of a hint. We hope to catch as many of you as we can finding the geocache. Good luck and remember to tell us what you think in your logs. - Dan & Maria
