The wood duck is a flightless bird living west of highway 101 near a large pullout. His habitat is on uneven terrain. It's a heavily treed area so he can't see passing satellites very well. (We got a 10-20 foot variability on our GPS.) The trick to finding him is to enter the wooded area; consult your compass; and then to look around you for the camouflaged wood duck. He likes to visit with cachers who tread lightly and leave no trash. Good luck seeking this elusive bird.
Congratulations to Imprezasport for a quick first FTF on such a difficult duck!
