This one is now a 40-ounce plastic peanut butter jar. (Ever eat plastic peanut butter?) To find it, you may ask yourself, "A shortcut between where and where?" Once you find the path, your next more rhetorical question may be, "Why would anyone other than a local want, let alone need to know this shortcut?' Read on:
Part of the fun of finding this one is meant to be in finding where to start. Near the far end of the shortcut from the caches hidden on it, local denizens who would like to claim the path for their private use have recycled an old "Posted" sign from somewhere and stuck it up on a tree. You don't need to use that end anyway! The shorter way to the caches is from public access at the other end of the path. To my knowledge there are no posted areas anyway near the path or the caches, but I don't recommend accessing this cache through private property.
The path is easy to follow in warmer months, but much "sketchier" when leaves are thick on the ground. It is marked in spots, in various ways. This cache is about 75' off of where the path CURRENTLY meanders.
For the FTFer, if he/she wants it, I left a 25-plus-year-old Coca Cola keychain. That is long gone now, of course.
