This cache has been placed on a small infrequently used by-road between Stoney Stoke and Shepton Montague (or vice versa if you like)I prefer the first suggestion as the road comes out in Shepton Montague right next to the PUB!!!!!
This route would be a nice walk in the summer through the Somerset countryside. If you do it by car be warned the road is single track and poorly maintained, do it by car at your own risk. Why not give the old ticker a bit of exercise, get a friend or partner to drop you off at Stoney Stoke and then they can pick you up at the pub in Shepton, (after you have suitably recovered with a glass or two).
On the way round you will cross a small bridge under which flows the River Pitt, which over the centuries has powered several mills. One of which owned by the quaintly named Theophilus Perceval who ran it in conjunction with several silk throwsters (those were the days).
Continuing along the road will lead you to the other cache we have put out. The clue may seem a little strange but we are strange people and who said clues should be too easy.
