South Dakota Fun Fact: Mobridge, SD was founded in 1906. The town was named for the town's railroad designation, a contracted form of Missouri "Mo" Bridge for the original railroad over the Missouri River. The bridge was demolished by the Corps of Engineers in the early 1960's and replaced by a higher bridge due to the construction of the Oahe Dam.
