Geocache Description:

Somerfords Series #8. The cache is a bison tube. Contains a log but no pencil. Please read the note concerning horses below.

The fields around caches SS8 and SS9 are sometimes used for cross country horse trials during the summer months, although to my knowledge only one geocacher has encountered horses and riders while walking the route, and I have never done so. The caches are placed on a public footpath but I would ask cachers to act responsibly and keep clear of areas where horses are being ridden even if that means missing out on finding a cache. This is the interests of both safety and in maintaining good relationships with the land owners. Thanks.
