Super Saiyan
is a powerful state that only beings of Saiyan Blood can do. Extreme rage is what is needed to convert to a Super Saiyan but only the most powerful of Saiyans thoughout history have been able to do so. Son Goku was able to transform into a Super Saiyan for the first time when his best friend Krillin was killed by Freeza.
