Gratulation an RosenQuarz für den FTF.[DE]: Nach einem Besuch der Pferderennbahn Freudenau kam ich über einen kleinen Weg auch zu diesem Wasserturm. Dieser Wasserturm ist wahrlich ein Lost Place. Das Haus daneben, das ziemlich verfallen ist, war vermutlich einmal das Pumpwerk und/oder die Hufeisenschmiede der Galopprennbahn Freudenau. Jedoch finden sich im Internet kaum Informationen über diesen Ort. Einzig und allein Pläne der Renovierung des Wasserturms von 2002 sind abrufbar (siehe "Related Page"). Und Fotos auf Flickr. Auch ich würde gern mehr über diesen Ort erfahren. Und vielleicht wird das durch diesen Cache ja auch möglich.

Anreise:
Es gibt 4 Möglichkeiten:

Mit dem Bus 77A bis Lusthaus (Gärtnerstraße), von der Station rechts die Gärtnerstraße entlang bis zur "Prater 80er Linie" da dann links hinein, und gerade aus, an den Pferden vorbei und unter der A4 durch, dann links in den kleinen Weg, gradeaus. (Download KMZ)
Mit dem Rad am Donaukanalradweg bis zum Cache GC4K0Z4 und dann bei der nahegelegenen Schranke in den Wald, dem Weg folgen. (Download KMZ)
Mit dem Rad am Donaukanalradweg bis zum Waypoint Way3 (W3) und dann die abzweigende Straße rein und dann rechts (letzte paar Meter wie Weg 1)
Mit der Linie 79B zur Seitenhafenbrücke und von dort aus dann Richtung Seitenhafenbrücke. Bei der Brücke links zwischen Brücke und Zaun zum Donaukanalradweg durchgehen. Dann zu Cache GC4K0Z4 und dann wie Weg 2. (Download KMZ)

Der Cache:
Eine größere Plasikbox mit Kalender-Logbuch.
In diesem Cache ist ein Kalender. Bitte diesen als Logbuch verwenden, und den Fund immer am jeweiligen Tag reinschreiben!!!

PS: Der Cache ist nahe an der A4 dran (aber nicht zu nahe) aber nicht von dort aus hebbar.

[EN]: After visiting the racecourse Freudenau I came across a small path that leads to this water tower. This water tower is truly a lost place. The house next to it, which is in ruin, was probably once the pumping station and/or the workshop of the horseshoes blacksmiths of the racing track Freudenau. However, not much information is available on the Internet about this place. Solely plans for the renovation of the water tower from 2002 are available (see "Related Page"). And photos on Flickr . Also I would like to know more about this place. And maybe that is possible through this cache.
Getting there:
There are 4 ways:

By bus 77A to Lusthaus (Gärtnerstraße), from the station right into Gärtnerstraße up until "Prater 80er Linie" turn left into it, and then straight through past the horses then take the underpass under the A4, then turn left into the small path, go straight ahead. (Download KMZ)
Follow the bike path along the Danube Canal (best with a bike) to the cache GC4K0Z4 and then go past the nearby barrier into the forest and follow the path. (Download KMZ)
By bike along the Danube Canal bike path to the waypoint Way3 (W3) and then into the road and then right (last few meters like way 1)
With the line 79B to the "Seitenhafenbrücke"-Station and from there then towards the bridge. Pass by the bridge on the left between the bridge and the fence towards the Danube Canal bike path. Then to cache GC4K0Z4 and then like Way2. (Download KMZ) </ li>

A bigger plastic box with a calendar logbook.
There is a calendar in this cache. Please use this calendarbook as a logbook and write in the Found-Log always on the current day!
