Pining for Home Traditional Cache

Chatelherault Country Park is a Five Star Visitor Attraction that was once described as a ‘Jewel in the Landscape’. Built in 1732 as a Hunting Lodge and Summer House for the Dukes of Hamilton.

Plenty for all the family here with stunning woodland walks, playparks, sculptures, a stately home with cafe and gift shop. With ten miles of pathways, there is also a selection of other geocaches around so why not make a day of it?

The cache is a screwtop container a little larger than a 35mm film canister. It contains a log, pencil and sharpner. It is only a short walk over a level path from the carpark to the cache site. The last few feet may get a little muddy although the ground is still mostly level. Thanks to Visitor Services Officer and Ranger Service for kindly allowing cache.
