Geocache Description:

Green bison tube hidden along Coyote Split Trail.

The Coyote Split trail is hike, bike, motor bike and horse path that connects the Coyote Trail with FR462 with scenic views of the Sandia mountains. There is not much elevation variation and this trail is not very long, but it does have a rocky section, which is why I have given it an intermediate terrain rating. While this is a forested area, not many of the trees offer much shade, so bring sunscreen and pack some water for this hike. There are cacti near some of the caches and the potential for rattlesnakes, but the most likely hazard/nuisance is the trail itself: the soil has some clay, which can be both slick and sticky when it gets wet, so don't wear your favorite shoes to do this trail right after a rainstorm.

*** Congrats to cyclegreen for FTF!!! ***
