Say what you will about Santa, the Tooth Fairy or any other childhood myth. The Easter Rabbit is real.
During my childhood my grandmother hosted Easter egg hunts for her grandchildren. Myself and two brothers and our cousins, three girls of comparable age. We would dye and decorate all day Saturday and then our parents would hide them out back while us kids had lunch before tearing through the yard in our search.
One year I remember searching a particular tuft of grass of no real importance, just that it was large and tall (the yard would be left untended all spring until Easter just for this tradition). I had moved on in my search but had turned and spotted a fluffy tailed common rabbit. Excited and carefree I ran fast as I could to catch that rabbit but it dissapeared as they always do, though where I had seen it, there sat an egg in that same tuft of grass I had already searched.
