Geocache Description:

The name says it all.  Honestly, it looks almost artistic sitting out here in the desert. . .

Someone apparently left the concrete sitting in the mixer a little too long, and THIS was the result.  It is one of the more intriguing things we have found while walking in the "Pits" southwest of Roswell.

"The Pits" are an area where many people ride dirtbikes, four-wheelers, or just walk. Unfortunately, many people also use the "Pits" as a dump for their trash.  I'm not really sure how this particular piece of trash made it back here though.

My son and I often go hiking in this desert terrain on the southwestern side of Roswell.  There are two ways to get to this cache.  If you don't mind driving on rough dirt roads, you can follow the dirt and gravel road nearly to the cache.  Once you are nearby, the cache isn't too far off the road.  If you are not comfortable driving your vehicle on this rough dirt road, you could park at the baseball field and hike to the cache.  It will be about a 15-20 minute hike.  Please stay on the four-wheeler trails and the dirt road for your safety until you are very near the cache.  Then, you will have to get off the trail just a little bit.

This is desert terrain, so expect cacti, goat heads, ants, and other prickly things.  Also, it can be very hot and dry, so please stay hydrated.

BYOP.  We hope you like our cache and admire this almost aesthetic Mixer Minus Truck.
