Geocache Description:

There are hundreds of rock carvings in and around this waterhole. It was a beautiful site. A reminder of the ancient culture, that once prospered in this area. And the traditions that were once such a prominent part of Aboriginal lifestyle. The cache is not located amongst the carvings

Hidden slightly of the Great Northern Highway, is a little known water hole surround by aboriginal carvings.

4WD access or a 2-3km hike in. Turn off the highway at the trail head (waypoint), and follow the path to the watering hole. The depth will vary depending on the time of year but allow yourself some time to wander the creek.

There are some carvings across the creek bed near where you park, but more along the creek bed each way.

Remember to respect the area and its heritage. The cache has been placed away from the carvings
