Pank Butterfly Traditional Cache

This cache is a tribute to Joyce Gibson AKA TEAM FIREFLYons – Geocacher, Mother, Companion, Daughter and Friend to many. Joyce Gibson was a founding member of Buckeye Geocachers Society. Her dedication, spirit, and smile will forever be remembered by our entire group. She will be missed greatly.

Joyce never met a stranger and was always the one welcoming new members into our group. If someone was new to one of our meetings, Joyce made sure she asked who they were and made them feel welcome. Joyce left us September 24th, 2013 after battling breast cancer for almost 2 years. Joyce did not complain and she was always smiling. She always said Pank instead of Pink and her friends came up with T-shirts and her slogan that read, “Help Joyce SPank Cancer.” She had many close friends that will surely miss her, but she will always be with BGS. Joyce loved butterflies. She loved to hide caches as much as find them. She loved the outdoors and left a permanent impression on all of us at BGS. She will never be forgotten.
