Geocache Description:

St Pats - Cobra (Letterbox Cache)

A variety of caches hid on the slopes of Slemish Mountain, where folklore tells of St Patrick and Snakes

5. Letterbox Cache

Thought it would be nice to stick out a letterbox cache as they are quite rare in these parts.

Make your way to the starting point (its on the inside of the wall!! ) See attached picture for your starting spot.

Follow the instructions below and you will end up at the cache.

Please note : The Stamp and the Ink Pad inside the cache are not trade items, they are an integral part of the letterbox cache and must not be removed.

All stages take you to an object of some description.

From your starting point :-

1. Follow the stone wall in a south easterly direction. At the gate the wall turns into a fence. Follow this fence until it veers off to the right at the thick post, just before the tree.

2. From this post walk 36 paces on a bearing of 60 degrees.

3. From here walk 51 paces on a bearing of 310 degrees

4. Finally walk 58 paces on a bearing of 10 degrees.

START HOKING!!!!

Cache is a regular sized tablock box, camoed.

As with all the other caches come prepared, ground is wet and slippery, must be all them snakes sliding about. Can be blowy even on the lower slopes.
