Geocache Description:

This is one of a series of caches in Davagh Forest to show you places of interest, views and features that otherwise you would not know were here or what they were called. The series can be completed by walking, mountain biking or on horse.  Covering 3700 acres (1500 hectares) Davagh Forest once had a forest drive of tarmacked roads throughout the forest, with some parking places for picnics and walks throughout the forest, it was largely abandoned in the 1980's.

Money has recently been found to add mountain bike trails in parts of the forest it has now become a top attraction for bikers, none of the caches are on the "Bike only" trails.  A short walking trail has recently been added.

A full description is placed on the main "Trailhead cache page" GC50619
