Geocache Description:

GROWING UP IN ED LEVIN PARK

When I was a young boy, our family was so poor, that we had to camp in Ed Levin Park. We lived in the caves, just a bit off the main trail. I know now that this wasn't strictly permissible, but the park rangers were always kind to us, and never forced us to leave. Plus, Ed Levin was my great uncle, and whenever the truancy officers came to get me, Uncle Ed told them to get lost.

NOTE: I have not disclosed the cave location, because certain folks are still living there, and I'm afraid they might get deported.

I didn't understand at the time that we were poor, and I always had enough to eat, and I sometimes even went to school, just like the "big kids."
During the carefree days, I had a fun time playing with the animals in the wilderness, and even befriended a few river otters. I would catch a few fish and call the otters over for supper. Over time, they (the otters, not the fish) became quite tame. Sometimes I would make a little money by selling fish to the ranchers who worked nearby.

One day--I think I was about ten years old--my dad put a special container right next to a trail. I asked him what he was doing.

"Dad, why are you putting that little container under that rock near the trail?" "Well, little Basso, someday a clever person will come looking for it. And here it is!"
I didn't know at the time what in the world he was doing, but I do now!

Well, our time in the forest only lasted a few years, and I have found memories of my time camping there. Little did I know that someday, I would be a wrangler at the famous ranch nearby. I wonder if the cache is still there. Can you help me find it?
