This geocache is NOT in the cenote, but will take you to the general area of the cenote. Take the time for a cool refreshing swim! Available 10am – 5pm.
While I was floating on my back in this serene little cenote, gazing up at the mid-morning sun, I realized that, yes, this is the planet of my dreams! This local Yucatanean swim hole (Cenote Noc-Ac , also also known as Kambul Cenote), is located in the tiny village of Noc Ac. When driving through the town of Noc Ac, follow the cenote signs. At the end of the road there is a rope closing the road and a family sits outside and collects 10 pesos per person. They will open the rope for you to drive through and the cenote is located another 100 meters down that road. This cenote is a nice little swimming hole (about 30 feet across) and is perfect as an introductory cenote. Once in the water, the cenote opens up another 40-50 feet under the rocks and there is a small opening in the ceiling at the far end. It is perfect for a quick refresher and for jumping. The water is crystal clear, you can see the bottom from the surface as well as lots of small fish. There is plenty of parking, toilets and a shade palapa for picnics.
