Maker Madness - South Mississippi Style Event Cache

Have you ever wondered how cache hiders come up with their ideas?  Do you have an idea for a hide that just needs a little something added before it's perfect?  New to the game and need some tips or hints?  Just want to meet the people whose names you've seen on logs?  If you answered "yes" to one or more of these questions, this is the event for you.  Heck, if you answered "no" to these questions it's the event for you as well.

The event will take place at the Ashe Lake Recreation Center in the DeSoto National Forest on April 5, 2014 at 10:00 AM.  Posted coordinates are for the pavilion. There is a waypoint for you to get to the park entrance.  The web site states there is a $3 entry fee per vehicle. We will meet in the pavilion, specific coordinates for the pavilion will be posted at a later time.  All logged attendees will receive the virtual Makers Madness souvenir on their Geocaching.com profile.

We will have a cache making station featuring various types of camouflage to help enhance your hides.  We will have some containers available or bring your own and make them better.

There will be a best cache contest with the winner selected by the attendees. Bring one you already have made or make one there and enter it. Make sure it is one you are willing to give away as they will be given away as door prizes. Who knows, maybe you will find the cache you created some day!
