LODI T.I.B.B.
La stazione della metropolitana M3 di Lodi T.I.B.B. è stata inaugurata il 12 maggio 1991, circa un anno dopo l'apertura della linea 3 che all'inizio limitava il tragitto a Centrale FS - Duomo e nel dicembre del 1990 aveva esteso il suo percorso da Duomo fino a Porta Romana.
Nei primi progetti la stazione avrebbe dovuto assumere il nome di Porta Romana FS, per la vicinanza all'omonima stazione ferroviaria, ma per evitare confusione con l'omonima porta delle mura spagnole, posta ad una fermata di distanza, si decise di mutare il nome della stazione in Tecnomasio, dal nome della storica industria Tecnomasio Italiano Brown Boveri (TIBB) che aveva sede nei pressi. All'atto dell'apertura la stazione assunse tuttavia l'attuale nome Lodi TIBB.
TECNOMASIO ITALIANO BROWN BOVERI
Tecnomasio Italiano Brown Boveri, nota anche con l'acronimo TIBB, era un'azienda italiana del settore meccanico, operante nella progettazione e costruzione di treni, tram, rotabili ferroviari, impianti di segnalamento e sicurezza, oggi non più esistente perché confluita in Bombardier; ha inoltre realizzato equipaggiamenti elettrici di filobus.
Il Tecnomasio Italiano venne fondato nel 1871 a Milano con lo scopo di produrre motori elettrici e generatori di corrente. Nel 1903 il Tecnomasio Italiano venne acquisito dall'azienda svizzera Brown Boveri e fondendo le due ragioni sociali prese il nome di Tecnomasio Italiano Brown Boveri ampliando ulteriormente la produzione anche nel settore ferroviario e tranviario.
Nel corso di più di un secolo di storia l'azienda realizzò di tutto, per clienti importanti come Fiat e Breda, dai motori elettrici per l’industria, alternatori, turboalternatori e trasformatori, apparecchiature per la distribuzione dell’energia elettrica, quadri elettrici, fino ai motori marini.
L'ambiente di lavoro, secondo la cultura dell'epoca, era molto formale, soprattutto per ciò che riguardava il rispetto dei rispettivi ruoli. Operai e impiegati mangiavano separatamente, non c'era praticamente alcuna interazione; a testimonianza di questo in via Sannio vi è ancora la scritta "Ingresso Operai".

The metro station Lodi TIBB was inaugurated on May 12, 1991, about a year after the opening of Line M3 which initially limited the journey to Central Station - Duomo and in December 1990 had extended its route from the Duomo to Porta Romana.
In the first projects, the station would have to take the name of Porta Romana FS, for its proximity to the eponymous train station, but to avoid confusion with the homonymous port of the Spanish walls, placed at a bus stop away, it was decided to change the name station in Tecnomasio, named for the historic industry Tecnomasio Italiano Brown Boveri (TIBB) which was located nearby. On opening the station, however, took on its current name Lodi TIBB.
TECNOMASIO ITALIANO BROWN BOVERI
Tecnomasio Italiano Brown Boveri, also known by the acronym TIBB, was an Italian mechanical industry, operating in the design and building of trains, trams, railway rolling stock, signaling systems and security, which no longer exists because it merged with Bombardier; has also produced electrical equipment for trolleybuses.
The Italian Tecnomasio was founded in 1871 in Milan with the aim of producing electric motors and generators. In 1903 the Italian Tecnomasio was acquired by the Swiss Brown Boveri and merging the two social reasons took the name of Tecnomasio Italiano Brown Boveri further expanding the production also in the railway and tram.
In more than a century of history, the company realized products, for important customers such as Fiat and Breda, such as electric motors for industry, alternators, turbo-generators and transformers, electricity distribution equipment, electrical panels, marine engines.
The work environment, according to the culture of the time, was very formal, especially for what concerned the fulfillment of their roles. Workers and employees ate separately, there was virtually no interaction; to witness this in Via Sannio there is still the message "Ingresso Operai", where workers enter separatelly from employees.
