Welcome to Historical West Point Kentucky! This is one of many stops on your caching tour of West Point, placed in conjunction with the CITO Earth Day. The purpose is to bring you to historical locations around West Point to give you a look into our past. This cache is located with a bottom view of Fort Duffield. As you look up you can imagine what it must have looked like in November 1861, with over 1000 members of the 9th Michigan Infantry preparing to build a fortress to protect the town of West Point, and the shipping lanes of the Salt and Ohio Rivers.
This cache is a easy P&G with off street pull off parking.
Enjoy the hunt!
Congratulations to E=Mc2 for FTF!
