Geocache Description:

A Cache

Poseidon, also known as Neptune to the Romans, was the great king of the seas. He was a very strong God with beards, and always represented with his trident in his hand and sometimes with a dolphin. His house was at the bottom of the sea and with his trident caused tsunamis, tremors, and even make water burst from the ground.

Poseidon was married to Amphitrite and with her had a son named Triton who terrified the sailors with an amazing noise that he made when he blew his conch.

However, in his life, Poseidon had many other loves and outside his marriage had more children who were well known for their cruelty. The two best known were Cyclops and Giant Orion.

The Cache

The cache was placed on the Gorgulho islet, in front of the Lido.
The islet is 150 meters from the coast, and is without a doubt a reference to that area.
It is a small islet with 15 meters high and 60 square meters area.
The easiest and quickest way to approach the islet is to get into the water in the waypoint provided.
You must climb the islet on the left side and then climb (back to the high seas).
The cache lies below the top in a slot, roughly more to the left side (back to the high seas).
We recommend wearing shoes because the stones in the place are very sharp.
Beware of possible birds.
You must carry out the cache accompanied and keep in mind the state of the sea. Above all, we hope you enjoy the challenge and have fun.
