Zgadnij, kim jestem? Pomimo tego, że jestem najdelikatniejszym wśród tych najtwardszych, wciąż można sobie na mnie pokaleczyć dłonie. Definiuje mnie w ponad 50% materiał, który ludzkość kojarzy - dosłownie - z zabawą i leżeniem do góry brzuchem. Choć powstaję właśnie w owych okolicach, mój główny budulec pochodzi z głębi lądu, a w stronę wspomnianych miejsc wędruje z pomocą rzek. Stolarz i blacharz, ceramik i hutnik, budowlaniec drogowy: wszyscy oni nie byliby tymi, za których się podają, gdyby nie ja. Raz jestem składową narzędzi, raz materiałem dekoracyjnym lub izolującym. Cierpię na pewnego rodzaju "potrójność jaźni". Oznacza to, że dzieli się mnie na trzy główne grupy: w zależności od tego, czy jest we mnie pewnego materiału ponad 90%, innego ponad 25% i jeszcze innego mniej niż 75%. Bardzo rzadko na jednym kawałku skały ukazuję tyle wyraźnych kolorów, ile widać pod koordynatami tego earthcachea.

- podaj poprawną geologiczną nazwę skały, przed którą stoisz
- ile wyraźnie wyróżniających się kolorów widać na powierzchni bloku skalnego, i czym są spowodowane?
- wymień trzy podtypy skały zwanej ogólnie... (odpowiedź z pierwszego zadania). Do której z nich zalicza się tutejsza skała?
- zmierz obwód skały
- zadanie opcjonalne: jest to na pewno blok wart pamiątkowej fotografii. Do kamer i aparatów jest przyzwyczajony, ponieważ kręcono tu pewien serial ;)

Who am I? Even though I’m the most fragile of the toughest, you still may cut your hands on me. In more than 50% I’m composed of a material which is usually associated with fun and relaxation. This material originates from deep within the land and travels down the rivers. Carpenters and tinsmiths, potters and steelmakers, road workers – all of them need me on a daily basis to perform their work. Sometimes I am used to make tools, sometimes I serve as a decorating or insulating material. I’d say I have a triple personality – three types of me can be distinguished, depending on whether I contain more than 90% of one component, more than 25% of another one or less than 75% of yet another one. It is very unusual for me to show as many colors as here, at the location indicated by coordinates.

TASKS:
- give the proper geological name of the rock
- how many different colors are there on the surface of the rock and what causes them to appear?
- name three types of the rock mentioned in the first task. Which one of them can you see here?
- measure the circumference of the rock
- optional task: take a picture of the rock (it’s already used to being filmed and photographed, since a TV series used to be shot at this location ;)
