The East Ballina Cemetery is located on one of the most picturesque sites around Ballina. It is found on the North-East side of Lighthouse Hill, overlooking Shelly Beach. It is bordered by Suvla and Pine Streets. James Riddle Muirhead was the first person buried in the 'New' East Ballina Cemetery. He was interned in 1911.
