To complete this new series of challenges, you will need to hike over 30 miles! You will need to remember to make note of the secret codes you find along the way. There will be ticks, snakes, skunks, manbears, poison ivy, stickers, wet feet, chocolate chip cookies, and hidden graveyards. You will sometimes need to crawl, climb, wade, or swim. This will not be a pleasant little stroll in the woods. And, most of all, please remember that Liberty Reservoir is a very active hunting area during the winter months so please use all proper precautions.
The last we heard from G.O. Joe, he had discovered all the geocaches in the Morgan Run area and had moved his van, and his family, to greener pastures, or so we were told. Actually, he had wasted away all of their life's savings on geocaching equipment and had to sell the family van to buy some new tupperware. Their only mode of transportation these days was a beat-up old raft which they used to float down the river one day where they finally ended up lost in Liberty Reservoir. In search of a new adventure, G.O. Joe and his family entered a mysterious cove one day. No human had ever entered this realm before, or at least no geocacher from the lack of little green boxes on their map. As they drifted aimlessly, Joe suddenly got a whiff of a strange, new aroma. He knew it wasn't a skunk. He was pretty sure it wasn't a ManBear. Anise maybe? Nope...he remembered that aroma from his Morgan Run days. They landed the raft on the side of the lake, and decided to investigate. Naturally, they landed on the wrong side and had to take the long, long way around, but they didn't mind the walk and enjoyed getting their feet wet crossing the stream. When they got to the far side of the cove, the aroma grew stronger...they knew they were close! Suddenly they saw movement in the forest. What the heck are those strange creatures back here? "They're elves!", shouted Joe's youngest child. And what were the elves doing way back here you might ask? Why, baking of course! And that strange aroma? Chocolate chip cookies!!!!!!
