The RNZAF has operated 202 Harvards since 1941. The aircraft was primarily a training aircraft but also used for communication and Forward Area Controlling.
The last Harvard owned by the RNZAF is a Mk III Harvard and is operated by Historic Flight.
There are nearly 50 ex-RNZAF Harvards in private hands with around 16 flying in NZ.
