Geocache Description:

Champion Trees are the biggest, tallest and best example of a tree in a state and the nation. It takes into account the circumference, the crown spread and height using a formula getting a bigness index.  This is a continuation of my quest to get all of Arkansas' Champion Trees a Geocache.

Champion Trees are the biggest, tallest and best example of a tree in a state and the nation. It takes into account the circumference, the crown spread and height using a formula getting a bigness index. This one is special, three champions in one yard!.  They are the Persian Ironwood, Amur Corktree, and Dawn Redwood.  There is just one Log but the oppurtunity to see all these Champions. You will be able to see the stones that mark the trees in the yard. The Coordinates will take you to the Dawn Redwood. The Persian Ironwood is close by to the southwest and the Amur Corktree is on the southern side of the yard. Mr Sanders, who owns the yard is very proud of his trees and welcomes you to come see them.  You do not have to knock to see them but if he is able he will love to tell you about them.  I saw him in the AETN documentary on Champion Trees in Arkansas and have the link to the first 9 minutes here.

The Cache is in a key holder in a crevice under the Dawn Redwood Champion Marker Stone.
