This cache is located near the Nanton Scout & Guide Hall in Nanton, Alberta. While there are many caches in the small town of Nanton, few are a safe distance from the HWY, and most are not easily (and safely) hunted down with a chain gang of twelve or more 5-7 yr olds. For that reason, the 1st Nanton Beaver Scouts decided it would be a good idea to place a series of caches within walking distance of the Hall along sidewalks and bike paths etc, providing a safe yet entertaining Geocaching journey for any other young Beaver Scout or youth groups interested in this fascinating "treasure hunt" ! This is the first cache in that series, and we hope to place several more in the future.
In the cache container you will find the thumbprint and name of each current Beaver Scout, who had a hand in placing this cache, along with many child/scouting related tradeables. The 1st Nanton Beaver Scouts are most interested in seeing items placed in the cache that have to do other scouting groups.
