We recently finished a geocaching trip to Yuma and decided to hit non traditional type caches on our trip. We were able to finish our goal of finding 200 letterbox hybrid caches. To honor all those who have placed letterboxes for us to find, we wanted to give back to the local geocaching community by placing a series of letterbox hybrid caches. We saw these stamps in the store the other day and thought they’d make a fun set of caches. We have come up with a crazy silly names for the set.
So you say, what are letterboxes? Well…
This is a Letterbox Hybrid Cache. A letterbox is another form of treasure hunting using clues instead of coordinates. Once a letterbox is found instead of signing a log book, you place your personal stamp mark in the letterbox's log book and also mark your personal log book with the stamp from the letterbox. In some cases such as this, it is both a letterbox and a geocache. You can stamp or ink the logbook in this cache and use the caches stamp to mark a spot in your own log book. But put the stamp back in the geocaches please.
Please do not take the stamp!
Bring your own ink pad.
All of the ABC series is in preformed pop bottles.
