Introduction
The Trustees of Reservations is the nation’s oldest Land Trust, founded in 1891. They preserve for public use and enjoyment properties of scenic, historic, and ecological value in Massachusetts and work to protect special places across the state. The non-profit group owns or protects over 50,000 acres in Massachusetts including over 100 reservations, all open to the public. Peaked Mountain in Monson, MA is one of these properties.
Atop the 1,227ft Peaked Mountain proper, you'll take in fantastic views of the area. It's a great place to hike, is home to several geocaches, and a great place to give back with a CITO!
As geocachers, we've been to Peaked Mountain at sunrise, and during the full moon! It's always nice to know that we've also been a part of keeping these areas in great shape for all visitors.
